Is There A Giant Within You?

Are Things Getting You Down?

Have you checked the giant within you lately?

It’s surprising how many things get so many people down and usually they’re not big things, no big tragedies, but small pesky frustrations and irritations.

Frustrations and irritations seem to be the real depressants of our spirit because we humans possess deep within ourselves an amazing power to meet the big issues with our giant within us.

Nothing can really get a person down provided we have learned the skill, the ability, and the power to keep going.

We all have to deal with daily irritations and annoyances that take a toll of inspiration and motivation. To keep going in the presence of cumulative frustrations isn’t all that easy.

Common frustration sometimes takes uncommon expressions.....take the housewife who got fed up with the constant and unending annoyances that she felt desperately subjected to. In her inability to cope with them anymore, she set fire to the house and walked away without looking back! (No this story isn’t about Marge!)

Life on this earth has a powerful crushing quality that can hardly be denied. Circumstances relating to health, job, money, hostility, misunderstandings, and many other problems of well being are constantly making it difficult, if not downright painful for us.

It’s no wonder that the psychoanalyst Sigmund Freud has been reported to have said “the chief duty of a human being is to endure life.” Yes.....life can be tough, very tough.

If you consider yourself weak and inadequate and lacking in power to stand up to life’s challenges and rigorous difficulties, you are taking an erroneous view of yourself.....you simply are not inadequate and lacking in strength as you assume yourself to be. Actually such an assumption is dangerous because it tends to have you believe it. You’re likely to build a case against yourself if you continue such thoughts.

You must remember, there IS a giant in all of us and nothing can get this giant down unless you, yourself keep that giant down and out of your life.

Yes....there is a giant within you. When that giant takes charge, nothing can get you down! When you wholeheartedly adopt a “with all your heart” attitude and go all out with the positive principle.....you’ll do incredible things.

Do you really think that you can’t do anything.....do things get you down? If you think you’re getting down....don’t stay down! Get right up! Shake off defeat. Reactivate that giant that we know that’s in you and get going and keep going.

Live always by the amazing positive principle. That’s the realistic and proven philosophy that succeeds and keeps on succeeding.

If your been knocked down and have accepted the negative thought that you are down and that you are down for good......what happens than?

Change your attitude, I mean really change it! Simply start affirming that you don’t mean to stay down. Tell yourself what an advantage it is to have hit bottom. You’ll never minimize the value of the bottom because the only direction from there is up!

Marge and I want you to start looking up. Start thinking up. Begin acting in an up manner and keep going in an up direction, no matter how steep or how long the climb. If you keep thinking positively, affirming positively, and acting positively, always practicing the positive principle, you’ll reach the much desired top.....

With this spirit, that top is not all that far off and this time you’ll stay there having learned how always to keep it going.

Please remember.....don’t be concerned about your ability to handle the big disaster......concern yourself with the little irritations and frustrations that you can get rid of quickly.

Always remember when frustrated that it isn’t all that bad really. Know for sure that there is a giant within you and release that giant.

Also remember and never doubt it ...... With God’s help you can do incredible things. Put your problems in God’s hands and leave them there. Don’t worry, He’ll take care of you and make things come out right.

Always....always believe in yourself.....develop an inner sense about yourself as a worth while person, a good person.

A healthy sense of self esteem is the result of different things coming together in one’s life. This doesn’t happen for a lot of us, in fact most of us have to work at developing a healthy self-esteem (releasing that giant within us).

There really isn’t any directions to follow that teach you how to believe in yourself but there are certain “musts”. A must is a simple basic that you must do, if you don’t, what you want to happen won’t happen.

You “must” release that giant and say nice things to yourself about yourself and do it every day....all day long. We all talk to ourselves in our heads. We actually carry on inner conversations with ourselves about many things including what we think about ourselves.

Much of what we have to say in these inner conversations is critical. Talk such as “You idiot” or “I can’t” or “I’m not as good as.......” “Why should I bother to even try”.....All this kind of talk hurts us more than we even realize.

Although we’ve been doing this for years, we can change the conversation. It doesn’t have to be critical, in fact, it can be supportive and encouraging. We can say to ourselves “I may fail at certain things sometimes, but that doesn’t mean I’m a failure” “I do some things poorly, but I do a lot of things well”......hey.....we can even say to ourselves “I’ll be patient with myself because God isn’t finished with me yet”!

Be proud of what you’ve done or what we’re able to do. Telling others “I feel good about.....” or “I’m good at.......” you’re just admitting to your own God given talents and abilities....this is not showing off. You’re just being honest. You’re letting others know that you have certain strengths and abilities and that you’re willing to use your strengths and abilities to make the world a better place.

Believing in ourselves means we realize that our life is a gift from God. When we do good things for others, the best of us is coming out. Our goodness is reaching out to others. It’s a natural high, it feels good and it is good. It’s our own giant within us making us do goodness.

For us as for everyone else in the world, believing in ones self will be a lifelong project......a process of befriending ourselves by becoming less critical of ourselves and more forgiving.

As we go long the hiway of life, we discover more and more healthy ways to build ourselves up, our new self image will begin to be reflected in what we say and do, not only for ourselves but for others.

Even if we have experienced a lot of low self esteem and a damaged sense of our value as a person, we can begin to change by releasing that giant that’s within us all.

Never give up on yourself, you can value yourself and learn to believe in who and what you are.
